I am currently finishing my Master of Science degree at Oklahoma State University, Boone Pickens School of Geology program with an emphasis on geophysics. Experience
I love teaching and tutoring because I have so many interests in academia and I enjoy working and encouraging other students. I enjoy studying diverse subjects and I have participated in a variety of research opportunities in geology. I began as a teaching assistant my sophomore year at Brigham Young University. Since this time, I have performed as a teaching assistant for nine semesters of Historical Geology, one semester of Dinosaurs, Geology for Engineers, Mineralogy, and Physical Geology, one week of Field Camp (structural mapping), and two semesters of Geomorphology . Previous tutoring experience includes math, science, english, history for middle school and high school students. I also have experience tutoring for reading, writing, history, sign language, and essay editing. I have always loved science and English, which is why it is the center of my post-high school education. My teaching passions involve literature, writing, and geology (of course). I was an English major before I switched to geology, with the equivalent of an English minor.
