I'm currently attending George Mason University for degrees in microbiology and environmental health. My experience as a teacher includes elementary and middle school science instruction and K - 6 chess coaching. I believe every student can find success with the right support and teaching that matches the learning style of the student. I believe students must fully understand the topic to really learn it as opposed to memorizing information to temporarily improve a grade or score well on a test. I'm patient and determined, and I will assist the student for as long as it takes until the student feels comfortable with a topic and can reach their goals. In my free time, I enjoy computers, games, riding and maintaining bikes, and learning.
